This Quest is done in three piecess
1. Getting Broken Haft
2. Fixing Haft
3. Rubys For your new axe

 
1. This is the part were you head to the Second Point of intrest Southeast of Samsur, (10.2s 62.0e) Kill the "Leikotha" it is lvl 15 and will drop the Broken Haft.


              

 
2. After getting your Broken Haft you will need to get it fixed.  In order to this you will need to run North, to the level 74 NPC (1.7s 36.6e).  This park requires Lockpick to get into the door were she is standing.  There will also be 2 Iron Golems guarding the door from the outside.


Once inside head up the steps and there will be the archmage.  If you happen to have picked up a Skeleton skull on your way to meet her, she will reword you with a book of lour about the Silfi of the Crimson Stars.  This is not nessesary to get the haft fixed but a Skill Check is,  You must have Axe trained and buff it to at least 180+ .  I took Din to get his and he snaped his Haft wighle trying to attach it to the Dillo Spine with his axe buffed higher than that.  As for the Dillo Spines you can use all types with each giving the S.o.C.S. different speeds and damage.

11-21, Vary Slow (100)
9-18, Vary Slow (80)
8-15, Slow (60)
6-11, Slow (40)


FYI - The odds of breaking your haft the first time is prity good.  Almost every time I have been on this quest, I have only seen it conected the first time once.  So my advice to you is to bring your Shore Spines (Yes plural) with you.  If you happen to break it you will still be by the NPC to fix it for you again, and by having a second Spine with you it saves that much more time.


 

3.  Alright now its decetion time.  As you can see there are Five Rubys for your new axe but only Three Notches on the haft.

This is were you will choose witch ones will best suit your needs.  Im putting the Dungen info on separet pages so you can print them up.  After you put your rubys in you will alter your weapon for good.  There is no changing Rubies in and out like the Atlan so choose wisely.  In order to use the Rubys these are the Pre Reqs.

Axe:  280+
Arcane Lore: 110+

I know a little steep but this one tanks in the Citadell with some item buffs.
